

INTRODUCTION
RGT
Sports Sdn Bhd was established to take care of
the interests of amateur golfers in the region.
Its aim is to promote the sport by creating a
range of activities to suit all levels of
golfers, from the beginners to the regulars.
RGT
Sports provides a much-needed boost to the sport
by creating win-win partnerships for both golfers
and golf clubs alike.
BUSINESS SCOPE
Golf Programs
This
card program is targeted at golf enthusiasts,
whether they are existing members of a club or
otherwise. The aim is to make the sport more
affordable and to enable golfers the opportunity
to play more for less. Not only are the benefits
offered extremely attractive, there are also
regular activities planned for members to
participate in and the opportunity for them to
broaden their network.
Launched
on April 12th 2000, APAG is now
Malaysias premier golf card program with a
membership base of 6,000 in a span of just 18
months. Membership is now priced at RM888
(single) and RM788 (joint) per year.

A new
program tailor-made for beginners will be
launched at the end of this year.
This
program will see the beginner through the various
steps necessary in order to become a golfer
from equipping him with a golf set &
shoes to lessons at the driving range, rounds of
golf, right up to the handicap test. Upon
"graduating", the golfer can sign up
for the APAG program, thus, enabling him to
continue and further improve on the game.
Golf Club
Management
In
May 2001, RGT Sports was awarded the contract by
Land & General to manage Beringin Golf
Course, an 18-hole public facility, for a period
of seven years.
RGT
Sports decision to venture into golf club
management was a logical one. With a ready base
of 6,000 APAG members who are allowed to play at
the club, Beringin Golf Course is assured of a
steady stream of visitors.
From
the point of the owners, RGT Sports was chosen in
view of their management teams strength and
experience in managing golf courses.
ABOUT US
The
Directors of RGT Sports comprise :
Raymond
Teoh, Franz Swoboda, Nicholas Teoh, Poh Li Wong.
The
father-son team of Raymond Teoh & Nicholas
Teoh, owns RGT Technology, a company engaged
in the wholesale and retail of sporting goods
& equipment.
Raymond
Teoh, the founder of RGT, was the originator of
the pro-shop system in Malaysia. He was
previously a Committee Member of the Malaysian
Golf Association (MGA). Presently, he is the
President of The Malaysian Sporting Goods
Association.
Other
divisions within the RGT Group include :
Golf retail outlets (the
largest in the country is located in
Kelana Jaya, PJ, covering an area of
15,000 sq ft).
Franz
Swoboda & Poh Li Wong were the
originators of the Asia Pacific Amateur Golfers
program. Both were the former directors of Allied
Golfers Network, where the APAG program was first
developed.
Franz
Swoboda, an Austrian national, has more than 35
years experience in the Hotel and Leisure
Industry. Of this, he has spent the last 13 years
in Southeast Asia holding various senior
positions in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
His
experience in the golf industry includes the
renowned golf resort in Sun City, South Africa
where he was Director of Operation. He was also
Consultant to Pulai Springs Resort in Johor
Bahru, which won the prestigious FIABCI
International Award for Best Resort Development
2000.
