The 18-hole Sebana Golf Course is part of Sebana Golf & Marina Resort Bhd. It is a full buggy course. The undulating hills offer exhilarating views. Whilst hazards in the forms of bunkers, lakes and streams are strategically located to challenge all golfers, from the novice to the professionals.

Sebana Golf and Marina Resort near Desaru in Johor presents a layout that is easy to fall in love with. It is curvaceous, well shaped, pretty, seductive and stimulating. It is both challenging and tempting as it leads you up blind alleys and hides much of its trickery, revealing all only when it is too late.

It is lined by virgin forest that keeps you in line, thoughtfully taking care of the stray golfer. Most importantly though is that it has enough mystery to draw you back for more.

Sebana also has great views from elevated tee boxes, offering you unobstructed vision of its well contoured layout. Most times though, you are only presented with half the picture; the rest, awaiting discovery only as you near your final destination.

These targets you are trying to hit 18 times in your round are lovely designed green complexes where, unfortunately, trouble happens to be equated with such painstaking, imaginative and careful construction.

Much thought has been put into the shaping, curves and contours; offering mounds, crests, falls and slopes within their small and exciting confines. Sides have been pushed up to obstruct views that surround the green, hiding their stiff tilts. Smooth surfaces have had folds pushed in, with dips and ascents that anchor you down in difficulty.

A natural result is that some of the par threes are genuinely interesting designs whose exciting moulds are a delight to attack.

And yet for all its difficulty and sparkle, it is probably trying to be a little generous with just a few fairways left a little wide. Take them not for granted though. Their lines are well defined by mature forest and shaped to pay handsomely to caution and length. If you have decided upon your line, provided it is pointed to the safer areas, stick doggedly to it and make no mistakes. Your best chances at progressing through this course is from the tees.

Any friendliness is gone as you get closer to each hole's halfway line.

How to get there
Sebana Golf Course is located on the South East Coast of Johor, Malaysia.

From Changi Ferry Terminal, Singapore to: Tg. Belungkor Ferry Terminal - about 40 minutes by ferry. Then from Tg. Belungkor Ferry Terminal to Sebana Golf Course - 20 minutes by car / coach.
Total time about 60 minutes

From Singapore / Johor Bahru causeway to Sebana Golf Course - about 90 minutes by car / coach.

From Senai Airport to Sebana Golf Course - about 90 minutes by car / coach.

The club have their own ferry services from Tanah Merah Terminal (Singapore) to Sebana Marina. Kindly check directly with the club.

The Resort own ferry schedule is as follows:
Depart Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal: 0800, 1200 & 1800 hours.
Depart Sebana Golf & Marina Resort: 0900, 1600 & 1900 hours.
