| Kulim Golf & Country Resort is
situated within the Kulim Hi-tech
Industrial park, a hub of economic and
industrial activities in the northern
region. The golf resort, one of the
prominent facilities in the park offers a
27-hole international championship class
golf course , a residential area and
clubhouse. Located in the heart of the
township, the resort is a mere 15 minutes
drive from Butterworth. Kulim Golf &
Country Resort is easily accessible via
the East-West Highway through the new
three tier Seberang Jaya Interchange
linked to the North-South Expressway.
Designed by world-renowed golf course
architect John Michael Poellot of the JMP
Golf Design Group from the United States,
the challenging 27-hole Kulim layout
features the North, East and West
courses. The first nine (North) which
opened for play in August 1998 plays to
3,214 yards. The second (East) and third
(West) nines playing to 3,438 yards and
3,237 yards respectively are playable in
December 1999 and end of 2000.
The golf resort itself is categorized
into recreation, commercial, hotel and
residential areas, designed to complement
one another, creating a complete resort
for the guests. The resort includes a
3-star business hotel with 168 rooms and
residential units include service
apartments and a condotel.
