2003:
APAG Quest 2003 swung off to an exciting start with 120
participants taking to the fairways of Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul
Aziz on 16th January. The closely contested tournament saw all
Top 3 Winners carding a score of 71 with the standings
determined on countback.
SM Raj (12),
winner of the APAG Order of Merit in 2001, claimed the top spot
with Salim Saham (14) and Andy Yap (14) taking second & third
positions respectively. The tournament is the first of 14 legs
for APAG members and their guests this year and is expected to
draw a full house each round. The Top 3 Finishers of each
qualifying leg win a place in the Grand Finals, which will be
played at the Ria Bintan Golf Club together with a 4 day / 3
night stay at the Club Med Ria Bintan in December.

Ron Wong Fook
Kheong captured the longest drive with a whopping 290 meters.
Nearest to the line was on that day a "on the line" achieved by
Mr Jason Koh Sing Chuan. Mr Tey Seew Guan's 2ft. 10in. from the
pin was good enough to win him the prize for "nearest to the
pin". All novelty winners received a Pharmaton T-Shirt, Cap and
Pharmaton Capsules.

The success of
the event was due to the exciting prizes lined up for the
winners consisting of YORK air-conditioner, JAGUAR timepiece,
ADIDAS eyewear, DUNLOP golf bags, PHARMATON capsules, 6 months
subscription to PARGOLF magazine, STREPSILS, TIGER Medicated
plaster, EXCEL & BLEU mineral water, SUNSENSE sunscreen, REDHOT
card and more....
