Tiara Melaka Golf
& Country Club is situated in the
heart of the popular Ayer Keroh tourist
district lies 13km to the northeast of
the historical city of Malacca and is
only 2 hours drive from Singapore and 1
1/2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.
The golf course, designed
by renowned golf course architects
Nelson-Wright-Haworth, has three
nine-hole layouts and a clubhouse
boasting a full range of facilities.
Sculpted from approximately 360 acres of
pristine land, golfers can tee off
alongside towering stands of trees and
play across shimmering natural lakes.
The Lake Course is dominated by large
expanse of water that is edged with an
extensive array of specially selected
trees and shrubs that line many of the
fairways. The undulating fairways are
aesthetically pleasing as many holes are
set upon natural slopes, tilts and
slants. The second nine, known as the
Meadow Course is located at an open site
where one can discover sweeping vistas
and the feel of cool wafting breezes.
Apart from palm trees, the colourful
shrubs around many holes and tall grass
around the lake edges create a meadow
effect on the course.
The third nine, Woodland Course,
opened in early 1996 is heavily wooded
with existing mature indigenous trees,
creating a tropical jungle effect, gives
one the impression that the course has
been around for decades. As well as
presenting many challenges to the avid
golfers, for lovers of nature, this nine
offers an opportunity to see monitor
lizards, gibbons (among other species)
and many variety of birds.
