Sign up for
your Handicap Test
THE TEST
The test
will be conducted at Beringin Golf Course
by RGT Sports Head Golf Professional,
Tony Maloney, or in his absence, a
qualified APAG Professional.
Rules and
the etiquette test will begin promptly at
9.00am and 1.00pm (be punctual,
latecomers will not be entertained). This
is an open test where the rules will be
explained to you and your answers will
depend on you understanding. Each correct
answer is worth 1 point.
The
on-course test will comprise 5 holes,
there will be 2 loops of 5 holes - one on
the front nine and one on the back nine.
So play more at Beringin golf Course to
brush up on your game and familiarize
yourself with the golf course. The loop
of holes to be used will be chosen on the
day depending on the course/weather
conditions.
Your play
will be broken down into several
categories covering all the major aspects
of golf. Observations regarding rules,
etiquette, common sense, pace of play and
golf ability will be taken into
consideration.

THE RESULTS
- Your test results
will be returned to the APAG Office or
Mr. Harbans at Beringin Golf Course and
your handicap will be calculated on the
combination of your test results and your
scorecard submissions.
- You will be notified
by post of your success/failure to gain a
handicap/provisional handicap.
- Your handicap card
will be forwarded to you at a later date.
- Those who attain a
provisional handicap will have a letter
explaining their shortcomings and what
they have to do to gain a full handicap.
